Dr Geraldine Canny

Geraldine Canny holds a Ph.D. in immunology from University College Dublin. After a post-doctoral fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston and an instructorship at Harvard Medical School she established and ran a research programme on endometrial biology and endometriosis at Lausanne University Hospital. She also served as a member of the Research Commission and of an international PhD scholarship Commission at the University of Lausanne.


Dr. Canny then worked at a foundation and at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) where she managed several national and international fellowship programmes as well as European funding programmes. In a voluntary capacity, she was also involved in patient education and fundraising strategy and led the regional section of a national platform for a public-private partnership devoted to patient education (EUPATI).


Dr. Canny has a keen interest in women’s health, translational research and research integrity.
